Stichting ouders voor ouders

Stichting ouders voor ouders was created for and by parents of children with special needs. This group of informal carers is often overlooked. Surely it goes without saying that you take care of your child? That's right, and that's precisely why these parents are often forgotten. Everyone takes it for granted that these parents care for their child(ren) day in, day out, go to the hospital, attend therapy, arrange care, etc. Very few people understand the impact this has. Impact on the parents themselves and their physical and mental health. But also impact on the other children in the family, grandparents, friends. And what about the impact on social life, education or career?

The Foundation brings informal carers together and creates meeting places where they can network, share stories, meet experts, but also just relax. The Ouders voor Ouders Foundation has now grown into a serious community.

We now operate from various locations in South and Central Limburg. We offer consultation hours, themed meetings, workshops and training courses. We also publish our own magazine about twice a year. Finally, we organise care-free weekends and, of course, the annual Ont-Zorg-Moet Dag (Care-Free Day) so that informal carers can also enjoy themselves without any worries.

Stichting Villa PIP

The Villa PiP Foundation is a small-scale residential facility and day care centre for our three young people/our “Pippers” with autism and severe intellectual disabilities in Schin op Geul. Due to their combination of ASD, intellectual disabilities and behavioural problems, the young people at Villa PiP are unable to cope in a group setting, which makes it difficult for them to find a place in mainstream care.

In addition, trips to the supermarket, the swimming pool or a terrace are not a matter of course. At Villa PiP, we strive to enable our young people to participate in society as much as possible by continuing to practise and carry out activities and trips such as those mentioned above.

At Villa PiP, autism spectrum disorder is central. This means that we are always on the move with developments around providing structure, clarity, communication issues, stimulus processing, etc. We support our children/young people in their daily activities in creative ways and they are guided one-on-one by a professional team.

Mark UsStichting knopen van de mantel

The Knopen van de Mantel Foundation believes that living together means caring for one another. We therefore believe that caring is not just a task, but that it is part of life. Everyone in families where a dependent family member is cared for every day knows how natural, but also how difficult, this can be.

That is why we devise ways to make care more bearable, more normal and more humane, based on the experiences of people who provide care. To this end, we are building places where well-being, living, care and work come together so that people who care for their loved ones can continue to lead a good life together. For example, we will soon be organising a mini-symposium on “From Care to Living Together” in Valkenburg with the municipality of Valkenburg.

Our wishes for this Christmas season:

Really seeing each other: that is where caring begins!

Mackenzies Droomland

The Mackenzies Droomland Foundation was born out of love and the desire to do something good. We believe that every child and every family deserves a dream, especially when cancer turns their lives upside down: a moment of light, comfort and connection.

With the Dream Box, we offer a warm gesture full of care and hope. The Spaar Eendje helps to fulfil special wishes, step by step. And in Het Alteljee, creativity, love and togetherness come to life.

Together, we create small moments with great meaning. Moments that touch hearts and leave lasting memories.
