General information

- What is the estimated time that we will be in the Christmas Market Municipal Cave because we now need to reserve an arrival time and buy other tickets?
Count on a visiting time of approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours for the Christmas Market Municipal Cave.

- How many people can enter per time slot?
No more visitors than that the safety and distance in the cave can be largely guaranteed. Time slots are per half an hour so that we limit queues as much as possible.

- Is the Christmas Market Municipal Cave accessible for wheelchair users or other disabled?
Yes, the Christmas Market Municipal Cave is wheelchair accessible.

- Can I bring my dog into the caves?
No, unfortunately your dog (or other pet) is not allowed inside. Not even in a dog carriage, bag or similar object. This is done for the safety of humans and animals. There is an exception for assistance dogs, they are allowed.

- Can I pin at the stalls at the Christmas Market Municipal Cave?
This is possible at various stalls, but not all exhibitors have an ATM. It is therefore advisable to take this into account and to bring cash with you.


Corona virus

Fortunately, Christmas City Valkenburg and the Christmas Market Municipal Cave will continue in 2021! Due to the corona virus, rules have been made by the government and we must comply with the rules applicable at the time of the event. This ensures that the Christmas Market Municipal Cave will be organized differently this year. We ask to read these rules carefully and follow directions from our staff so that we can all safely enjoy 100% Christmas atmosphere!  As a foreign visitor, first check whether you are allowed to enter the Netherlands before you buy tickets. More information can be found on the government website.The most important thing for your visit at the Christmas Market Municipal Cave is to plan your visit in advance and that it's mandatory to show a coronavirus entry pass. So book your tickets online in advance.

- Are there any restrictions regarding the corona virus in the cave?
Less visitors are allowed in the cave at the same time and we are obliged to ask all visitors for a coronavirus entry pass. You can create this QR code in the CoronaCheck app by means of a valid vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or a valid official negative test certificate. After you created the QR-code, you can show it via the CoronaCheck app on your phone or a coronavirus entry pass on paper if you come from the Netherlands. Foreign guests can show the QR code or the vaccination proof of their own country, but to be absolutely sure, we advise you to be 'tested for entry' so that you can show the QR-code in the CoronaCheck app.
In addition, we ask you to give other guests enough space when you visit the Christmas Market Municipal Cave. For the measures applicable at the time of your visit, you can view the specially designed page on our website. Please read this carefully before your visit. 

- If I bought tickets and everything is canceled because of the corona virus, will I get my money back?
Yes, if it is decided by the government and the security region that the Christmas Market Municipal Cave must close, the ticket money will be refunded.

- If I bought tickets and I or someone close to me gets sick or has to be quarantined and we can't come, will I get my money back?
Please contact kerstmarkt.gemeentegrot@valkenburg.nl or support@tickli.nl. We will then check if the tickets can be moved to another date and time.

 

Groups & Tour operators


- What is the ticket price for groups?
For tour operators, large groups and other companies there is the possibility to buy tickets with a discount at a price of € 8.00 per person. A minimum purchase of at least 20 tickets per order applies.

- Can I buy and pay for tickets online last minute? We don't know yet whether the day trip will go ahead.
The tickets are sold on time slots and full = full. It is therefore wise to buy tickets in advance. There may be no more tickets available last minute online. For groups of 20 people or more, it is possible to book an option (available until one week before the day of visit) for a specific day and time block, so that you can organize your day trip and tell us later how many people you will actually come with. If you want to use this option, please send an email to kerstmarkt.gemeentegrot@valkenburg.nl

- What about groups? Can we go in at the same time?
Depending on the number of tickets you can buy per available time block, the groups can enter in that composition if the applicable corona measures are adhered to.

- Can our bus driver or tour guide get free entrance?
Groups of 40 or more people can take one driver or tour leader with them for free. Of course he/she also needs a ticket. A request for the ticket can be done in advance by e-mail to kerstmarkt.gemeentegrot@valkenburg.nl as soon as the tickets for the customers are ordered. You will then receive a code for a free ticket. It is not possible to get a ticket at the event, you need to arrange this in advance.

- Can we also buy tickets at the ticket office at the entrance?
There is no longer a day ticket office at the entrance of the Christmas Market Municipal Cave. So buy tickets online in advance and reserve your spot.

 


Tickets

- Where do I buy tickets?
Tickets are only available online and can be purchased in advance via the ticket shop on our website. Tickets are available by date and time block. Place your tickets in the shopping cart and pay for your order. You can then directly download the tickets and they will be sent to your email.

- Can I also buy a ticket at the ticket office at the entrance?
There is no longer a day ticket office at the entrance of the Christmas Market Municipal Cave. So buy your tickets online in advance and reserve your spot.

- If we report the number of tickets and dates of our visit in time, can we also enter without having purchased tickets in advance?
No, tickets can only be purchased online in advance.

- I bought tickets for the time block from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Do I have to leave the cave within half an hour?
No, the half hour time block gives you time to enter the cave between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

- Are there any combi tickets for sale again for multiple activities within Christmas Town Valkenburg?
Yes, you can make the combination between the activities yourself by choosing tickets for different activities by date and time and then paying them in one go. For an activity, choose date, time, the kind of tickets and click on order. Then choose another activity and repeat the steps of date, time, tickets and ordering. The tickets will be placed in your shopping cart. For the last activity, you follow the steps to pay for all tickets in one go. You will receive the tickets immediately in a download and by mail.

- Are there also group tickets?
Yes, for tour operators, large groups and other companies there is the possibility to buy tickets with a discount at a price of € 8.00 per person. A minimum purchase of at least 20 tickets per order applies. You can also buy these tickets online in our ticket shop.

- I come with children under 4 years old. These are free right?
Yes, that's right, children from 0 to 4 years old are free. However, they do need a ticket to enter, so order a special free kids ticket for them in our ticket shop.

- I have bought a ticket, but have lost it or have not received it. What now?
When ordering your ticket, you can download the tickets immediately. Save them immediately so you don't lose them. Have you lost it? You can re-send your ticket via the website https://www.tickli.nl/find-tickets (if you have entered the e-mail address correctly in your order) or otherwise send an e-mail to kerstmarkt.gemeentegrot@valkenburg.nl or support@tickli.nl. Please note that it can take a while before you receive a response via these e-mail addresses.

- I bought tickets and everything is canceled because of the corona virus, will I get my money back?
Yes, if the government and security region decide that the Christmas Market Municipal Cave must close, the ticket fees will be refunded.

- If I bought tickets and I or someone close to me gets sick and we can't come, will I get my money back?
Please contact kerstmarkt.gemeentegrot@valkenburg.nl or support@tickli.nl. We will then check if the tickets can be moved to another date and time, based on availability.

- I bought tickets and made a mistake in the date or time block, can I still change them to the right date or time block?
Please contact kerstmarkt.gemeentegrot@valkenburg.nl or support@tickli.nl. We will then check if the tickets can be moved to another date and time, based on availability.

- I bought a ticket but can't/do not want to come anymore, do I get my money back?
No, purchased tickets are unfortunately not refundable.
